About the Role
A leading financial services provider is seeking a Senior Data Quality Officer to join their Data Governance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high data quality standards, regulatory compliance (including BCBS 239), and the continuous improvement of the company's data governance framework.
Responsibilities
Data Quality Strategy & Governance
* Define and implement data quality policies, standards, and best practices.
* Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to capture data quality requirements.
* Monitor compliance with regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239.
* Lead data quality audits and produce reports for senior management.
* Drive the continuous enhancement of governance processes.
Data Quality Monitoring & Remediation
* Design KPIs and dashboards to track data quality metrics.
* Perform root cause analysis of data issues and oversee remediation plans.
* Establish data controls and validation mechanisms to ensure consistency and accuracy.
* Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to promote data reliability across the organization.
Profile
* Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or a related field within financial services.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data management (e.g., BCBS 239).
* Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex data flows.
* Experience with data quality tools and reporting platforms.
* Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English; French or Dutch is an asset.
