About the Role
Join our client's digital transformation journey as a Senior Pega Application Architect. You'll be at the heart of a cross-functional team, shaping the architecture and evolution of mission-critical case management solutions. What You'll Be Doing
* Define and evolve the architecture of a major Pega-based business application in close collaboration with platform architects and cross-functional teams.
* Identify and design reusable components, ensuring scalability and maintainability across multiple business domains.
* Translate complex functional requirements into robust Pega solutions, providing well-reasoned technical options and driving continuous improvement.
* Ensure all solutions align with Pega best practices and the client's technical architecture, meeting both explicit and implicit non-functional requirements (performance, resilience, security).
* Build, configure, and develop end-to-end functionalities, including UI components, connectors, transformations, and extensions.
* Conduct unit testing and document all developments for transparency and future scalability.
* Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, refinements) and foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
* Work closely with functional analysts and product owners to refine and challenge requirements, ensuring optimal business value.
* Estimate, track, and proactively communicate on project timelines, risks, and blockers, always proposing actionable solutions.
* Mentor and support junior Pega developers, elevating the team's technical excellence.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Senior Pega System Architect, with a strong track record in designing and building complex applications (10+ case types, "layer cake" architecture).
* Expertise in Pega COSMOS Theme (version 4) and Pega version 8, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in both.
* Solid understanding of cross-functional platform design, integrations (REST, SOAP, FTP, HTTP), and security (RBAC, ABAC).
* Experience with product deployment (with and without Deployment Manager) and familiarity with PDC for monitoring and optimization.
* Fluency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with practical experience using JIRA in an Agile context.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement.
* Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
* Proactive, collaborative, and committed to knowledge sharing and team success.
* Experience in the Belgian public sector is mandatory.
* Willingness to work on-site in Namur for 3 consecutive days each month (hybrid model).
