At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
1. The train movements are controlled by ATC System in a safe way. The Trackside ATC is responsible to send to Trainborne ATC the track conditions that allow entering in a given segment. Those conditions could be: point machines at right position, track clear, speed restriction, route set, etc. The Trainborne ATC compares the information received from Trackside ATC against train actual conditions (speed, position, track, direction) and can restrict its movement if there is any risk to go over a safe limit.
2. The Project ATC Leader is responsible to deliver the ATC sub-system approved by the customer, respecting the project QCD, during the project life cycle.
