We are partnering with a growing and financially strong company looking for a freelance Senior Accountant to reinforce their finance team during a key transformation phase. This is not just a support role — you will be a true business partner and have direct impact on financial performance and reporting quality.
🚀 Your Impact
As Senior Accountant, you will:
* Take ownership of monthly, quarterly and yearly closings
* Prepare and review VAT returns and tax declarations
* Ensure accurate BE GAAP reporting (IFRS is a plus)
* Manage balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis
* Support audits and act as key contact for external auditors
* Optimize accounting processes and internal controls
* Coach junior team members when needed
* Support finance transformation or ERP improvement projects
🎯 Your Profile
* 5+ years of accounting experience
* Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP
* Experience in complex environments (SME, scale-up or international group)
* Hands-on and autonomous
* Strong analytical mindset
* Fluent in Dutch, good command of English
* Immediately available or available at short notice
