Within this role you will manage the VAT/GST compliance for the entities/countries assigned to you, including: /p liActing as a single point of contact – liaise with your international clients and colleagues regarding European VAT and VAT compliance. /li liMonitoring the quality of the indirect tax data and reports of your clients. /li liReview and approve indirect tax returns. /li liFollow up on legislative changes and business changes and the potential impacts on systems and processes. /li liIdentify issues and opportunities to continuously improve the VAT compliance processes. /li liCoordinate VAT compliance advisory, technology and audit support. /li liWorking with fellow VAT controllers, reporting to your engagement Process Owner (Senior Manager or above). /li liSupervise and coach more junior team members – both on and offshore. /li liActively participate in training and coaching sessions as a part of your personal development plan to ensure continuous development. /li pbYour Profile /b /p liA Bachelor and/or Masters degree in economics, tax law, accounting or equivalent – a specialism or supplementary degree in taxation is a plus. /li liMinimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in EMEIA VAT compliance, either in industry or with other service providers. /li liBasic understanding of other compliance activities such as statutory accounting and corporate tax compliance. /li liBasic understanding of IT-systems and VAT/GST reporting solutions as well as the changing legislative landscape and the impact on VAT compliance. /li liExcellent written and verbal communication in Dutch or French. Next to that, you are fluent in English.
