About the role
Are you ready to dive into solving mathematical optimization challenges? Look no further! We're seeking a passionate individual to join our Product & Engineering Team as Optimization Data Scientist.
As Optimization Data Scientist at Binocs you will:
* Develop and deploy optimization models for scheduling, planning, resource allocation.
* Apply operations research techniquesconstraint programming,mixed-integer programming (MIP), andmetaheuristics to solve NP-hard problems at scale.
* Collaborate closely within a smaller team of data engineers, QA, PO and domain experts, to translate real-world user challenges into mathematical models.
* Data cleaning & preparation is not expected in this role - you get clean data and focus really on the modelling.
* Support investigations on user-reported bugs, slow convergence, and contribute to ongoing implementations with algorithm-related guidance.

About you
* You hold a Master´s degree or PhD inOperations Research,Applied Mathematics,Computer Science, or a related field.
* You bring more than 3 years of experience in applying OR optimization techniques in industry settings.
* You have strong programming skills in Python, with experience using libraries like ortools, pyomo, etc. and are familiar with object-oriented programming.
* You have a solid mathematical understanding of job shop problems and multi-objective optimization.
* You are fluent in English, written and verbal.

* You show a willingness to work in a hybrid working model.
Additional assets include:
* Experience inpharmaceutical,manufacturing, orlogistics scheduling is a definite plus.
* Exposure to machine learning or hybrid AI and OR systems, reinforcement learning is a nice add-on to your profile for innovative projects.
