ScanSkinAI is building an accessible online skin screening experience that helps users understand potential skin concerns and take appropriate next steps. We combine AI-assisted triage with clinically guided escalation pathways to improve clarity, safety, and user decision-making.
Role Overview
We're recruiting Dermatologists to support ScanSkinAI in two areas:
clinical governance and safety design, and
remote review of ScanSkinAI scan results when users request professional review.
This role is designed to fit around clinical work and can be fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical governance
Review triage logic, escalation thresholds, and safety pathways
Improve user-facing clinical wording and risk communication
Advise on edge cases and misinterpretation risks
Support documentation and clinical oversight processes (as appropriate)
Remote scan review (on user request)
Review user-submitted images and ScanSkinAI outputs
Provide structured guidance on urgency and next steps (e.g., monitor / GP / urgent referral)
Use templates and workflow provided to ensure consistency and safety
Flag cases requiring in-person assessment and appropriate escalation
Requirements
Qualified Dermatologist (board-certified / specialist registered in your jurisdiction)
Experience in clinical decision-making and referral guidance
Strong written communication (clear, non-alarming, patient-friendly)
Comfort with remote workflows and asynchronous reviews
Interest in digital health, patient safety, and responsible AI
Nice to Have
Teledermatology experience
Experience advising on clinical governance / safety frameworks
Experience with medical documentation, risk management, or clinical QA
