Job Description

Core Responsibility: Serves as the functional expert for Adobe Campaign, driving the analysis, design, and optimization of marketing automation workflows, campaigns, and data integrations. Ensures seamless alignment between business objectives, technical execution, and regulatory compliance within the Adobe Campaign ecosystem.

Accountabilities:

* Adobe Campaign Requirements & Solution Design

* Lead the elicitation, documentation, and prioritization of business requirements specifically for Adobe Campaign, including:

o Campaign workflows (targeting, segmentation, scheduling).
o Dynamic content personalization (email, SMS, push notifications).
o Data model and schema extensions (custom fields, linked tables).
o Integration with CRM/other systems (e.g., Salesforce, APIs, webhooks).
o Translate marketing strategies (e.g., lead nurturing, customer retention, mandatory communications) into technical specifications for Adobe Campaign, ensuring scalability and compliance.
o Define use cases, user stories, and process flows tailored to Adobe Campaign's capabilities (e.g., transactional messaging, fatigue management, A/B testing).
* Workflow & Campaign Optimization

* Design, configure, and optimize Adobe Campaign workflows for performance, efficiency, and error handling (e.g., query activities, enrichment, deduplication).

* Analyze campaign performance metrics (delivery rates, open/click-through rates, conversions) and recommend data-driven improvements.
* Troubleshoot technical and functional issues in collaboration with Adobe Campaign administrators and IT teams.

* Data & Compliance Governance

* Ensure data integrity and compliance within Adobe Campaign, particularly for regulated communications (e.g., opt-in/opt-out management, GDPR/financial services requirements).

* Define data mapping and synchronization rules between Adobe Campaign and other systems (e.g., CRM, DMP, analytics tools).
* Document audit trails and approval processes for mandatory or high-risk campaigns.

* Stakeholder Collaboration & Training

* Act as the primary liaison between marketing teams, IT, and Adobe Campaign administrators, clarifying requirements and feasibility.

* Conduct workshops and demos to gather input, validate designs, and train end-users on Adobe Campaign best practices.
* Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by defining test cases (e.g., email rendering, personalization logic, suppression lists).

* End-to-End Project Ownership

* Take full ownership of Adobe Campaign-related projects, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and minimal supervision.

* Manage requirements traceability and impact analysis for changes (e.g., new data sources, regulatory updates).
* Collaborate with external vendors or Adobe support to resolve platform limitations or customization needs.

* Continuous Improvement & Innovation

* Stay updated on Adobe Campaign updates, features, and industry trends (e.g., AI-driven personalization, real-time triggers).

* Identify opportunities to automate manual processes (e.g., reporting, audience segmentation) or enhance existing workflows.
* Share best practices and lessons learned across teams to improve Adobe Campaign adoption and efficiency.


Key Differentiators for This Role:


Deep functional expertise in Adobe Campaign – hands-on experience with workflow design, campaign execution, and performance analysis. Regulated environment experience – familiarity with compliance-driven communications (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or legal notifications). Autonomous and proactive – ability to own Adobe Campaign projects end-to-end with minimal oversight. Technical acumen – comfortable discussing data models, APIs, and integrations with IT teams while translating needs for marketing stakeholders. Bonus: Experience with other marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot) is a plus but not required.

Education

Masters or Bachelors degree

Technical Experience

Mandatory

* Adobe Campaign Configuration:

* Designing and managing targeting workflows (queries, filters, audience segmentation).

* Setting up delivery templates (emails, SMS, push notifications) with dynamic content.
* Configuring recurring and triggered campaigns (e.g., transactional messages, event-based automation).
* Data Management:

* Understanding Adobe Campaign data model (recipients, custom tables, schemas, links).

* Performing data imports/exports (CSV, flat files) and basic data transformations.
* Writing basic SQL queries for workflow activities (e.g., query, union, enrichment).
* Integration Basics:

* Configuring out-of-the-box integrations (e.g., CRM connectors, SFTP file transfers).

* Understanding API fundamentals (e.g., how Adobe Campaign consumes/rest APIs for real-time data).
* Compliance & Governance:

* Implementing opt-in/opt-out mechanisms, suppression lists, and consent management.

* Ensuring GDPR/financial services compliance in campaign setups (e.g., mandatory fields, audit logs).
* Troubleshooting:

* Diagnosing common workflow errors (e.g., failed deliveries, data mismatches).

* Interpreting delivery and tracking logs for performance issues.

Preferable

* Advanced Workflow Automation:

* Writing JavaScript within Adobe Campaign (e.g., custom scripts in workflows, personalization).

* Using Adobe Campaign's advanced functions (e.g., fatigue rules, pressure rules, typology management).
* API & Real-Time Integrations:

* Configuring webhooks and real-time event triggers (e.g., cart abandonment emails).

* Working with REST/SOAP APIs for custom integrations (e.g., linking to external databases).
* Reporting & Analytics:

* Building custom reports/dashboards in Adobe Campaign or exporting data to Power BI/Tableau.

* Analyzing campaign performance metrics (e.g., conversion attribution, bounce rates, ROI).
* Adobe Ecosystem Knowledge:

* Familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) for unified customer profiles.

* Experience with Adobe Analytics or Adobe Target for deeper personalization.
* Automation & AI:

* Awareness of AI-driven features (e.g., Adobe Sensei for predictive audiences).

* Exploring chatbot or conversational marketing integrations (e.g., Adobe Campaign + Live Chat)
