Downstream Production Support Lead
Brabant wallon, Belgium
Introduction
Nalys is a Belgian recruitment and consultancy firm specialised in the pharmaceutical, biotech and life sciences industries. With deep expertise across quality, manufacturing and engineering development, we support both large international groups and innovative scale-ups in building the teams that drive their projects forward.
When we place a professional, we stay by their side — before, during and after the mission.
Today, we're looking for a senior Downstream Production Support Lead to provide end-to-end operational support within a biologics DSP manufacturing environment in the Brabant wallon area. This is not a mailbox role or a purely administrative position — you'll own topics from start to finish, drive solutions through to full implementation in production, and operate as a true peer to internal Operational Support Leads.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide end-to-end operational support across DSP production activities — from issue identification through to implementation in the field
* Manage deviations, CAPAs, Change Controls, production documentation and risk assessments across a broad and varied scope
* Support the implementation of technical and operational solutions directly in production areas
* Interface with Production, QA, MSAT and suppliers depending on topic complexity
* Manage multiple topics simultaneously, set priorities and drive deliverables to closure
* Write and review documentation in both French and English, ensuring quality system compliance
* Maintain a strong on-site presence to understand process realities and support hands-on implementation.
Your Profile
* DSP experience is mandatory — hands-on knowledge of the following unit operations is non-negotiable: chromatography, ultra filtration / diafiltration (UF/DF), filtration, including viral filtration, formulation and filling
* You have a senior profile with solid industrial production experience — QC-only backgrounds are not suitable for this role
* You work completely autonomously — you are able to manage a complex, multi-topic workload with minimal supervision
* Agile, resilient and delivery-oriented — a genuine \"doer\" who drives topics through to completion
* You feel comfortable in transversal roles, coordinating across Production, QA, MSAT and external suppliers
* Strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced, high-standards biologics environment
* You are Fluent French — daily production interactions require it
* And you speak English professionally for documentation, writing and cross-functional stakeholder communication.
What We Offer / Why Nalys
* A permanent position within a growing life sciences consulting company
* Exposure to diverse and challenging pharmaceutical projects
* A strong people‐oriented culture with close follow‐up and career support
* Continuous learning opportunities and skills development
* A collaborative, respectful, and expert‐driven environment.
