Contract Type: Temporary (3 months)

Location: Gibraltar - Málaga

Reports to: Head of Finance

Start Date: 01.01.2026

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance professional for a 3-month temporary assignment. The main responsibility of this role is to ensure that the daily accounting is accurately maintained, up to date, and compliant with internal procedures. The successful candidate will work directly with the Head of Finance and support operational finance activities across the business.


Experience in real estate, hospitality, or investment fund structures in Gibraltar will be considered a strong advantage.


Key Responsibilities

* Perform daily accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of all transactions.
* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
* Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice booking, payment runs, and receivables follow-up.
* Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash movements.
* Ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounting records.
* Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals, cut-off checks, and reconciliations.
* Support the Head of Finance with ad-hoc financial tasks, reporting, and analysis.
* Collaborate with other departments (operations, asset management, etc.) to collect missing information and ensure smooth financial processes.
* Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and relevant regulations.


Requirements

* Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support roles.
* Background in real estate, hospitality, or investment fund structures (preferably Gibraltar) is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
* Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Navision, QuickBooks, or similar).
* Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines under time pressure.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
