Freelance QA/QC Consultant – Food & Beverage Industry (Senior Level)

We are currently supporting a key client within the food and beverage manufacturing sector based in West Flanders, one of Belgium’s main food production hubs.
Due to increased production demand and upcoming audit requirements, they are looking to engage a senior freelance QA/QC consultant to support their on-site quality and compliance activities.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, offering immediate impact and responsibility.
* Lead and support QA/QC activities on the shop floor
* Ensure compliance with HACCP, IFS, BRC, and FSSC 22000 standards
* Manage deviations, non-conformities, and CAPA processes
* Perform and/or oversee batch review & release activities
* Support audit preparation and certification processes
* Monitor production quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Act as a key liaison between quality, production, and technical teams
* Proven senior-level experience in QA/QC within the food or FMCG industry
* Strong background in production-driven environments (e.g. beverages, dairy, bakery, or similar)
* Solid knowledge of food safety systems and compliance frameworks
* Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with strong shop-floor presence
* Able to work independently in a freelance / interim capacity
* Fluent in English (Dutch is highly preferred)
* Freelance / self-employed status is essential
