* Carrefour – Orange Business ensures the seamless operation and evolution of the Data Platform, managing both analytical and operational data flows with a focus on reliability and performance.
* Big Pharma International Company – migrated a Drug Discovery Data Platform from on‑premises Hadoop to Azure, improving various data flows to reduce processing time and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
* For Paradigm – created a data platform and a unified set of tools for the public sector, focusing on Kubernetes and DevOps to enable self‑service and standardisation.
What You’ll Do
* Lead the design and implementation of modern data platform architectures.
* Drive the development of robust data pipelines and storage solutions using cutting‑edge technologies, ensuring optimal performance, scalability and security.
* Mentor and guide a team of Data Engineers, ensuring project success and technical excellence.
* Partner with clients to define and implement strategic, data‑driven solutions.
* Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and obtain relevant certifications to ensure best practices.
Who you are
* Interest in digital transformation and data‑driven solutions.
* Proactive mindset and outside‑the‑box thinking to tackle challenges.
* Able to explain technical concepts to a non‑technical audience.
* Excellent interpersonal communication and professional commercial approach with customers.
* Value collaboration.
* Strong communication and presentation skills in French and/or Dutch + English.
Your Technical Expertise
* Master’s degree or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Engineering, Physics or related field.
* At least 5 years professional experience on data related ICT projects.
* Experience with modern data platform architecture roll‑out from conception to implementation.
* Deep understanding of data modelling techniques, including relational (Kimball, normalization) and NoSQL databases.
* Experience with at least one Cloud platform (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).
* Experience with Cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Synapse Analytics, Redshift).
* Advanced SQL skills and experience with SQL orchestration tools such as DBT or Dataform.
* Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Scala, Java, etc.).
* Strong experience with CI/CD processes and tools (GIT, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of Docker and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Openshift, AKS, GKE) with experience deploying and managing containerised applications.
* Experience with micro‑services & event‑driven architecture.
* Knowledge of Unix environments & scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell.
* Knowledge of the Data Mesh concept and experience with DataVault 2.0 modelling methodology.
