Electrical Engineer – Belgium (Onsite)
I’m currently working with a major international engineering contractor that is expanding its team in Belgium due to a strong pipeline of secured projects over the next 5+ years. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who wants to work on large-scale, technically challenging projects while developing their career within a well-established engineering environment.
You’ll be joining a collaborative team of engineers and technical specialists, contributing to projects from the design review stage through to installation and commissioning, ensuring systems are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager regarding progress, risks, and technical matters
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, and project documentation to ensure technical accuracy
• Evaluate supplier documentation and confirm compliance with project requirements
• Participate in technical design reviews and support equipment and system validation
• Prepare and manage project documentation including RFIs, technical submissions, and equipment schedules
• Identify any discrepancies or gaps within design documentation and raise them with the project team
• Carry out on-site inspections and system walkdowns to verify installation quality and compliance
Requirements
• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Approximately 3–5 years’ experience in an electrical engineering or construction project environment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
• Strong coordination, planning, and communication skills
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools
• Experience with Revit or BIM software would be beneficial
• Previous electrical trade experience would be considered an advantage
