Electromechanical Engineer – Energy Sector Ghent, Belgium
The energy sector is evolving fast, and so are the systems behind it. To support complex and future-focused energy projects, we're looking for an Electromechanical Engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of electrical and mechanical engineering — and who wants to see their work make a real impact.
Based in Ghent, you'll be involved in the engineering, optimisation, and realisation of energy installations used in industrial, power, or renewable environments. This is a hands-on, technically challenging role with room to grow.
What you'll be working on
You'll take responsibility for electromechanical systems throughout the project lifecycle, from design to commissioning. This includes:
~ Engineering and optimising electromechanical installations within energy projects
~ Collaborating closely with electrical, mechanical, and automation colleagues
~ Supporting technical decisions during execution and commissioning phases
~ Analysing system performance and solving technical issues on site or remotely
~ Ensuring designs meet safety, quality, and industry standards
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who combines solid engineering fundamentals with practical insight:
~ A degree in Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
~ Experience in the energy sector (power, renewables, grids, or industrial energy)
~ Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
~ A proactive, solution-oriented mindset
~ Comfortable working in project-based environments
~ Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong advantage
