The VP Sales – Engines, Mercury EMEA is responsible for leading the long‑term commercial strategy and execution for Mercury Marine’s finished products across the EMEA region. This role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of the channel strategy, driving sustainable growth, and contributing to the broader vision and leadership of Mercury EMEA.


Responsibilities

* Serve as a core member of the Brunswick EMEA Senior Leadership Team, actively contributing to the development and execution of long‑range business strategies and regional priorities.
* Design and execute a strategic commercial roadmap for dealers, distributors, and OEM channels, aligning with Mercury Marine’s global objectives and evolving market dynamics.
* Foster a high‑performance culture rooted in innovation, accountability, and leadership development, focusing on talent development and succession planning.
* Lead and mentor Country Managers and Distributor Managers to expand market presence, optimize channel performance, and drive profitable growth across all product lines.
* Oversee the creation and execution of annual regional business plans, ensuring alignment with revenue, margin, and operational efficiency targets.
* Identify and capitalize on commercial growth opportunities in collaboration with Country Managers and Distributor Managers to increase market penetration and sales.
* Monitor competitive activity and translate market intelligence and competitive insights into actionable strategies that enhance market share, customer value, and brand positioning.
* Champion Brunswick’s ethics, safety, quality, and sustainability programs, ensuring alignment with corporate values and compliance standards.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commercial processes and customer experience.


Qualifications

* Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a business orientation; MBA preferred.
* Minimum 10 years of commercial, customer‑facing experience.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in a sales‑driven organization with reseller‑based distribution (e.g., dealers, VARs, distributors, retailers). Experience in the marine industry is an asset.
* Proven track record in customer‑facing roles with a strong focus on enhancing customer experience.
* Expertise in dealer/distributor/OEM network development and management.
* Advanced English proficiency; additional European language an asset.


Compensation and Benefits

* Global Grade 17 with a salary range of €170,000 to €210,000, paid in 13.92 installments.
* Bonus plan targeting 25% of the annual salary.
* Long‑term incentive plan (restricted Stock Units) with a target of 40,000 $.
* Company car with a fuel/charging card (hybrid or electric).
* Meal vouchers with a face value of €8 each.
* Hospitalization insurance for the employee and direct family.
* Pension, life coverage, disability insurance.
* 25 vacation days per year (20 legal + 5 extra‑legal).

Location

Relocation to Belgium or to a neighboring country within daily commuting distance from the HQ in Belgium is required.
