Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner (Early-Career Leadership Track) - 1 position available

Location: Axiles Bionics Headquarters, Brussels

About Axiles Bionics:

Axiles Bionics is a Brussels-based spin-off from Brubotics (VUB), specializing in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Biomechanics, striving to improve the quality of life with new bionic technologies. Our mission is to bring peace of mind and body to amputees with innovative bionic solutions and outstanding services.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Max 3-5 years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Full professional proficiency in English required
* Full professional proficiency in French or Dutch required
* Strong proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and HR/CRM systems (Odoo preferred).
* Strong ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of organization.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a driven early-career HR professional (max 3–5 years’ experience) ready to step up into a strategic and operational HR leadership role and who is eager to take their career to the next level by playing a central role in shaping the future of a growing deeptech company. This is a hands-on, career-defining opportunity for an ambitious professional ready to own and elevate the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to employee engagement, compliance, and systems management.

Axiles Bionics is currently a team of approximately 17 employees, entering an exciting growth phase. Our team is set to double over the next year, expanding across sales, marketing, regulatory, production, and operations. As of now, there is no existing HR team in place. This role is the first dedicated HR position, giving you the rare opportunity to build the HR function from the ground up.

While the HR needs are currently manageable for a single strong generalist, we expect that, as the company grows, so will the complexity and scope of the HR function. That’s why we’re looking for someone who is both hands-on and strategic, and who is excited by the challenge of scaling HR systems, processes, and culture alongside the company. In the medium term, this role is expected to evolve into a leadership/managerial position, potentially heading the HR department as the team expands.

Key Responsibilities

Culture & Employee Experience

* Act as the guardian of the company culture, ensuring that our values are embedded in daily operations, decision-making, and leadership behaviors.
* Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace where employees feel supported and inspired.
* Develop and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives to maintain a strong, motivated workforce.
* Organize company-wide events, team-building activities, and initiatives to strengthen company culture.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

* Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing to hiring and onboarding.
* Work closely with department heads to ensure smooth onboarding planning and execution for new hires.
* Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all legal requirements.
* Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

Performance Management & Development

* Develop and oversee training programs
* Implement performance management tools to ensure employees have clear expectations and growth opportunities.

HR Operations, HR Systems & Compliance

* Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring they align with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organization.
* Maintain and oversee HR systems (Odoo) and employee records.
* Oversee payroll processes, staff benefits administration, and compliance-related reporting.
* Implement compensation strategies
* Maintain organizational charts and employee directories.
* Continuously improve HR processes and systems to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

HR Strategy

* Partner with management to ensure HR goals are aligned with business objectives.
* Analyze trends in compensation, benefits, and employee engagement, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.

* Tech-Savvy & Detail-Oriented – Comfortable working with HR software, ERP/CRM (Odoo preferred), and digital tools to streamline processes.
* Problem-Solver & Compliance Expert – You understand labor laws and ensure the organization is always in compliance.

* 45-minute virtual interview with the Chief Executive Officer.
* 60-minute in-person interview with leadership and relevant stakeholders.
