OverviewSiemens Mobility Belgium designs, develops, and operates the EBP system (Electronic Control Desk), a tailor-made traffic and infrastructure management system for Infrabel. These complex, real-time systems are critical for 24/7 rail infrastructure control and management.We are currently looking for a System Architect to support the evolution of the EBP system.ResponsibilitiesAct as a key liaison between Siemens Mobility and external stakeholders to clarify and document high-level functional requirementsTranslate business and operational needs into a future-proof system architecture aligned with the EBP roadmapCreate system architecture and high-level design documentsSupport development teams throughout the software development lifecycleEnsure architectural consistency across teams and components, focusing on safety, security, maintainability, and serviceabilityModerate workshops and technical discussions to gather input and validate architectural decisionsDeliver high-quality documentation in line with internal quality processes and project milestonesClarify and document new high-level customer needs to support the roadmapYour skillsFluent in English (spoken and written); professional fluency in Dutch and/or French is requiredExperience in requirement determination and documentationSkilled in moderating workshops and gathering customer needs under tight deadlinesProficient in data modeling and design tools (e.g., UML)Experience in UI application design and software implementationKnowledge of hardware, software, web portals, internet/intranet connections, firewalls, servers, and securityFamiliar with the entire software development lifecycleWilling to learn and modernize legacy safety systemsKnowledge of the signalization business is an assetYou’ll benefit fromAt Siemens, you will join an environment that cares about you.
