At Stark Recruitment, we work with leading players in their field. Today, we are recruiting on behalf of one of our partners, a world leader in multi-technical services, a Section Manager within a project engineering entity specialising in sustainable energy solutions for industry.
This division is rapidly growing, active in Waste-to-Energy, district heating networks, battery storage, Carbon Capture and many other energy transition technologies. You will join a passionate team, with a true technical and people leadership role, at the heart of projects worth up to 50 million euros.
Your responsibilities
* Ensure the quality and efficiency of engineering deliverables across tenders and projects
* Coordinate and harmonise work between the different engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, thermal)
* Manage a team of engineers: talent development, resource planning, day-to-day leadership
* Continuously improve internal practices, tools, procedures and standards, including the integration of AI tools
* Support commercial bids by representing the engineering department to clients
* Analyse complex price requests, define the strategy and mobilise the right resources
* Contribute to contractual aspects and ensure control of technical and financial risks
* Integrate health & safety requirements across all engineering work
* Convince clients of the added value of the proposed solutions
Your profile
* Master's degree in engineering
* Minimum 10 years of experience in a project-oriented industrial environment, including EPC experience
* Strong knowledge of thermal processes (heat exchangers, Rankine cycles...) – Waste-to-Energy experience is an asset
* Good command of QA systems, ISO 9001 and CE certification
* Knowledge of public procurement in Belgium and/or France
* Financial skills related to projects and cost centres
* Strong contractual mindset and solid risk management
* Recognised leadership and confirmed people management experience
* Interest in digital tools and innovation in engineering
* Excellent communicator, solution- and results-oriented
* Trilingual French / Dutch / English
