Category Manager
Our client, a growing international renewable-energy organisation, is seeking a Category Manager to join their procurement team in Madrid.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in the sourcing and supplier management of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), supporting the delivery of large-scale clean-energy projects. This is a strategic procurement position with strong exposure to engineering, commercial, and project-execution teams.
Duties Include:
* Supporting purchasing and sourcing activities for energy-storage equipment
* Coordinating bid/tender processes and evaluate supplier proposals
* Maintaining relationships with key vendors and monitor ongoing performance
* Gathering market intelligence on pricing, technology trends, and supply-chain developments
* Assisting with commercial reviews and internal documentation
* Collaborating with engineering and project teams to align technical requirements with procurement needs
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A degree in Engineering or a related technical field
* Essential: experience working in the renewable-energy sector
* Background in procurement, sourcing, or category management
* Fluency in English; additional languages beneficial
