Director of IT Governance & PPM
Role Purpose
As the Director of IT Governance & PPM at Glacier, you will be the strategic pillar ensuring that our IT investments deliver maximum value. You will bridge the gap between business strategy and IT execution by overseeing the entire project portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple geographies, and managing the financial health of IT operations. This role is critical for driving our "Value-Creation" projects while maintaining a robust governance framework and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Portfolio & Value Management (PPM)
* Strategic Portfolio Oversight: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the "Value-Creation" project portfolio, ensuring alignment with Glacier’s corporate goals.
* Methodology & Execution: Establish and refine project management methodologies. Ensure all projects are executed within scope, on time, and according to set standards.
* Demand Management: Act as the primary intake point for IT requests; conduct thorough Business Case studies to evaluate ROI, pay-back periods and strategic fit.
* Agile Transformation: Champion Agile mindsets across the organization. Serve as a mentor for Scrum Masters and internal teams to improve velocity and quality.
2. IT Governance, Policy & Compliance
* Standardization: Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) to standardize IT operations and service delivery.
* Policy & Procedure: Author and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
* Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure that IT applications and data management practices comply with the local regulations of all countries where Glacier operates.
* Risk & Disaster Recovery: Design and update Disaster Recovery (DR) plans; lead the annual execution of DR drills to ensure business continuity.
3. Financial Management (OpEx/CapEx)
* Budget Planning: Lead the annual IT budgeting process. Collaborate with internal business units to plan and track CapEx and OpEx spending.
* Financial Alignment: Ensure IT spending is optimized and directly linked to value-creation activities and business outcomes.
4. Vendor & Service Level Management
* Vendor Lifecycle Management: Manage relationships with IT outsourcing partners and service providers.
* Contract & SLA Management: Prepare, negotiate, and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Ensure third-party delivery meets Glacier's quality and security benchmarks.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS).
* Experience: Minimum 10-12 years of experience in IT Project Management and Governance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Language: Excellent command of written and spoken English.
* Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum/Kanban. Agile Coach or Scrum Master certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM, ICP-ACC) are highly preferred.
* Governance Knowledge: Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001). PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus.
* Financial Acumen: Proven experience in managing IT budgets (OpEx/CapEx) and conducting Business Case analysis and creating Service Catalogues.
* Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to influence "internal-customers," and excellent analytical problem-solving capabilities.
