Position Overview:

This position provides day-to-day Sales delivery to Agfa customers and the Agfa organization. The Key Account Manager acts as single point of contact to customers for Agfa products & services and is responsible for creating an account strategy, co-ordinating and controlling the sales process, managing customer expectations and negotiating contracts. In addition, the KAM will act as pre-sales consultant for the agents and dealers.

Location: Western & Northern Cape provinces

Responsibilities:

1. Create and execute a strategic account plan
2. Act as single point of contact to assigned customer base for Agfa products & services
3. Accompany prospective customers from first contact to closing of contract
4. Qualification of accounts
5. Manage customer relationships
6. Manage customer expectations during proposal & negotiation phase
7. Explain and demonstrate the sold products/solutions and think strategically with the customer
8. Create commercial proposals using the available tools for own accounts and local accounts (for agents, dealers)
9. Coordinate and control sales processes
10. Local product management
11. Acting as sales contact in hand-over from Sales to Services
12. Support the service manager during proposal & negotiation phase for SMA’s
13. Accountability for ongoing representation of sales, support, and service delivery programs
14. Accountability for profitable offer calculation and submission and contract management
15. Accountability for customer overdue accounts
16. Accountability to provide a complete and meaningful hand-over to Services
17. Support Agfa agents and dealers in their relationship with end-users

Qualifications:

18. Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography, Sales and/or Business adminitration
19. Sales experience, preferably medical Imaging Sales/Presales
20. Radiographic background would be an adventage
21. Ability to establish and build strong customer relationships over time that allow for continuity
22. Business oriented
23. Professional communication skills (written & verbal) with excellent time management and presentation skills
24. Ability to interact professionally to develop new business sales opportunities and execute sales strategies
25. Experience and knowledge of hospital and medical clinic environments will be beneficial
