We are looking for a Master Data Management Specialist who is collaborative, detail‑oriented and solution‑driven to join us in our I2I Patient Impact Data Operations team, based in our UCB Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
About the role
You will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and executing Master Data Management (MDM) processes that ensure high‑quality, reliable, and compliant customer data across the European and InterContinental business. You will support data quality frameworks, governance structures, and implementation of data solutions that empower the organization to make data‑driven decisions and strengthen operational excellence. This role enables you to shape new data offerings, support digital transformation, and ensure trusted data contributes to improved patient outcomes.
Who you'll work with
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT colleagues, data architects, analysts, operational teams, and external partners. You will also work with data governance teams, data stewards, business intelligence specialists, and data engineers to align business needs with technical solutions. The role requires cross‑functional and cross‑regional collaboration, ensuring strong integration and clear communication. What you'll do
* Develop and implement standardized Master Data Management strategies and processes
* Improve and monitor quality of customer, product, and supplier master data
* Establish governance processes and support roles for data ownership and stewardship
* Track and analyze data quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities
* Align MDM systems and workflows in partnership with IT and business teams
* Support migrations and implementation of new ERP and CRM systems
* Provide user training and guidance on data quality and MDM tools
* Coordinate MDM team activities and manage KPIs and service levels
* Collaborate with internal departments to support digital transformation programs
* Develop clear guidelines for creating and maintaining master data
* Assess existing MDM processes and drive continuous optimization
* Ensure compliance with data privacy, regulations, and governance requirements
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in information, technology, or business fields
* 5+ years of experience in master data management or data governance
* Familiarity with data catalog and quality tools like Collibra or Informatica
* Strong analytical and communication skills, with high attention to detail
* Leadership skills to guide teams through transformation and process changes
* Proficiency in SQL, Python, or comparable query languages
* Experience coordinating internal and external team members effectively
* Strong project management skills for complex data initiatives
* Full working proficiency in English; proficiency in an additional language is a plus
* Understanding of privacy regulations and compliance expectations
