The Port of Antwerp is Europe’s second-largest port and the leading chemical and petrochemical hub on the continent. As a Business Developer in the petrochemical industry, you will focus on strengthening relationships and expanding project pipelines with key companies in the port, including BASF, TotalEnergies, INEOS, Borealis, Umicore, and Covestro. Your goal is to increase Hilti’s share of wallet by driving sales growth across accounts and major projects, while building senior-level relationships within customer organizations. You will proactively execute account strategies that respond to economic and market trends, ensuring Hilti’s solutions meet customer needs and maximize growth opportunities.

What You'll do

1. Take ownership of account strategies, specification and sales development, and long-term relationship building by delivering tailored commercial and technical solutions;
2. Expand the project pipeline for new-build and MRO projects in targeted accounts across the Energy trade segment, including onshore, offshore, and power subsegments;
3. Develop senior-level contacts within customer organizations (department heads, corporate, C-level) to drive account strategy execution;
4. Influence specifications at the application level by collaborating with Hilti technical teams and engaging with designers, engineers, project teams, purchase departments, and discipline managers across multiple disciplines (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping & Procurement);
5. Focus on MEP, firestop, and secondary steel structures, primarily on projects in Belux;
6. Monitor economic and market trends to adapt strategies and seize opportunities;
7. Operate fully within Hilti’s digital environment and systems, with potential collaboration across international offices.

12. Capability to sell system solutions, articulate value propositions, and confidently answer customer questions;
13. Technical affinity with MEP, firestop, anchoring, fastening, and secondary steel structures;
14. Commercial mindset with project management, negotiation skills, and adaptability in a dynamic, international environment.
