We are partnering with a leading, service-driven organisation in the Benelux region to appoint an Operations Director. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end operations during a period of transformation and growth.
Following recent system implementation and operational changes, the business is seeking a hands-on operational leader to improve efficiency, drive alignment across teams, and enhance overall customer experience.
This role is ideal for a pragmatic, data-driven operator who thrives in complex environments and enjoys building structure, improving processes, and leading experienced teams through change.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
* Lead multiple operational functions, including service delivery, warehouse/logistics, installations, and project execution
* Align teams that have historically operated independently, improving cross-functional collaboration
* Establish clear governance, operating rhythms, and accountability across the organisation
Process Improvement & Performance
* Identify operational inefficiencies and workflow bottlenecks, implementing scalable improvements
* Define, track, and optimise KPIs to enhance productivity, service levels, and operational performance
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
Customer Experience
* Improve customer satisfaction through more consistent and efficient service delivery
* Strengthen coordination between field operations, supply chain, and customer-facing teams
* Implement structured processes for issue resolution and service quality improvement
Supply Chain & Operational Efficiency
* Oversee warehouse, inventory, and logistics operations across multiple sites
* Optimise stock management, parts availability, and distribution processes
* Improve planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across operations
Leadership & Change Management
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of senior operational managers
* Build credibility with experienced, long-tenured teams
* Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
* Act as a key driver of organisational change and operational transformation
Data & Systems
* Use ERP and operational data to drive insight-led decision making
* Support the optimisation and adoption of systems and processes across teams
Scope & Impact
* Leadership of multiple operational departments representing 100+ employees
* Oversight of multi-site operations across Belgium and the Netherlands
* Initial focus on stabilisation and optimisation, with long-term responsibility for scaling operations

Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
* 10+ years' experience in operations leadership roles
* Proven track record of improving operational performance in service-led or technical environments
* Experience managing cross-functional teams (e.g. service, logistics, projects, operations)
* Strong expertise in process improvement, workflow optimisation, and performance management
* Experience in field service or operationally complex environments is highly desirable
* ERP experience (e.g. Business Central) is an advantage
