Design and user experience are central to this journey. As Lead Product Design & Research, reporting to the Head of Product Excellence, you will play a key role in establishing design as a strategic capability across the organization, leading a growing design team, defining a clear design vision, and working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and business stakeholders to shape the future of healthcare software.
Challenge
* Define design vision and strategy for the entire product portfolio.
* Develop a compelling design vision that aligns with business objectives and supports our platform consolidation strategy. Translate this vision into actionable design strategies across all product tribes.
* Establish design standards, principles, and processes across the organization.
* Create and implement design guidelines, quality standards, and workflows that ensure consistency and excellence. Define how design integrates with product development processes.
* Build and manage the design system as a strategic asset.
* Own the development and evolution of our design system, ensuring it scales across products and enables rapid, consistent feature delivery. Partner with Engineering to maintain design-to-code fidelity.
* Set research methodology and prioritize research initiatives to drive user-centered decisions.
* Establish user research practices, methods, and tools. Lead the research agenda to build deep understanding of healthcare professionals' needs and ensure insights inform product decisions.
* Coach and develop the design team to build world-class design capabilities.
* Lead, mentor, and grow product designers. Foster a culture of craftsmanship, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Define career paths and professional development opportunities.
* Evangelize design thinking across the organization.
* Champion user-centered design practices and build design awareness throughout Corilus. Partner with leadership to embed design thinking into strategic planning and decision-making.
* Grow design capability to meet evolving business needs.
* Build the business case for design investment, recruit top talent, and scale the team in alignment with organizational growth. Establish partnerships with external design resources when needed.
Profile
* Master's degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent experience.
* At least 8 years' experience in product design, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of building and scaling design teams and design systems.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic design thinking and hands-on craft excellence.
* Experience with user research methodologies and translating insights into product strategy.
* Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or healthcare technology is a strong plus.
* Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a plus.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
* Hands-on leader who can balance strategic vision with tactical execution.
* Collaborative mindset with strong cross-functional partnership skills.
