The Role
We're looking for a Senior Customs Associate to join our team and help shape Flexport's customs operations in Antwerp, Belgium.
In this role, you'll work alongside experienced customs professionals, help onboard new clients, build operational processes, and lead high-level discussions on classification, origin, and valuation.

What We're Looking For
* Minimum 5 years of experience in customs & forwarding, with strong knowledge of the Belgium customs market
* Hands-on experience completing customs declarations and using customs software (bonus if you know AEB)
* Expertise in classification, origin, valuation, and the EU tariff system
* Track record of building processes, implementing new ideas, and improving operational efficiency
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
* Problem solver mindset with the courage to challenge the status quo
* Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
Your Day-to-Day
* Complete Belgium customs declarations accurately and efficiently
* Onboard new clients and develop operational SOPs
* Mentor and guide new hires in the customs team
* Collaborate with sales teams to provide high-level customs guidance to prospective clients
* Contribute to projects building new tech, service offerings, and workflows
* Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions
* Lead discussions with clients on complex customs topics
