We're looking for an experienced Full-Stack Java / TypeScript Developer to help design and deliver next-generation digital platforms within a leading insurance environment in Brussels. You'll play a key role in modernising core systems and building scalable, customer-centric solutions in a modular, cloud-ready architecture.

Core Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and TypeScript (Angular or React)Contribute to the evolution of digital insurance platforms and policy management systemsCollaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and architects to translate functional requirements into technical solutionsBuild scalable microservices and responsive front-end interfaces in a service-oriented architectureEnsure high code quality through clean coding practices, code reviews, and automated testingImplement and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven integrationsSupport CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments in cloud environmentsParticipate actively in agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Skills:6+ years of experience in software development, including strong full-stack exposureExcellent knowledge of Java and Spring BootStrong experience with TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks (Angular or React)Experience building RESTful APIs and working with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar)Familiarity with Kafka or other event-driven messaging systemsExperience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (Git, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, etc.)Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patternsAbility to work autonomously within agile squads
Desirable Skills:Experience in the insurance sector (policy administration, claims, underwriting, risk, or customer portals)Background in telecommunications or public sector projectsFamiliarity with domain-driven design (DDD) and modular architectureExperience modernizing legacy systems or contributing to digital transformation programmes.Knowledge of DevSecOps and secure coding practicesExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
