Role Summary
The HighByte Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, enterprise-grade Industrial DataOps solutions using HighByte Intelligence Hub. The role involves close collaboration with customers, cross-functional teams, and OT/IT stakeholders to understand data requirements, model industrial assets, integrate plant-floor systems, and deliver unified, contextualized data pipelines for cloud and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture & Design
• Design end-to-end architectures using HighByte Intelligence Hub, including UNS (Unified Namespace), data modeling, and messaging frameworks.
• Develop modular, reusable HighByte data models for assets (equipment, sensors, SKUs, recipes, etc.).
• Architect data ingestion and contextualization flows across PLCs, OPC-UA, MQTT, SCADA, Historians, and Cloud.
• Define integration patterns for HighByte with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the HighByte-based solution landscape.
2. Data Modeling & Engineering
• Build and optimize data models to represent industrial processes, assets, KPIs, and operational context.
• Analyze OT data sources and define contextualization logic for downstream consumption.
• Implement publish–subscribe models, event-driven architectures, and data standardization practices.
• Work with UNS methodologies, data normalization, and semantic models.
3. Customer Interactions & Requirement Gathering
• Lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, and deep-dive technical discussions.
• Translate business and operational requirements into technical designs and data flows.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers on Industrial DataOps and HighByte best practices.
• Document requirements, architecture blueprints, design specifications, and handover materials.
4. Technical Implementation & Governance
• Oversee configuration, deployment, and optimization of HighByte instances (Edge and Central).
• Set integration standards, naming conventions, and governance frameworks.
• Support development teams with solution design, reviews, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure adherence to quality, security, and compliance guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
• Strong hands-on expertise with HighByte Intelligence Hub (UNS, data modeling, connectors, flows).
• Solid understanding of industrial protocols: OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, REST APIs, AMQP, etc.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS): IoT Hub, SiteWise, Data Lakes, EventHub, Lambda/Functions.
• OT system familiarity: PLC/SCADA systems, Historians (OSI PI, Wonderware), MES, or related.
• Strong experience in data modeling, semantic modeling, contextualization, and data engineering.
• Good understanding of security, networking, and deployment models (Edge, VM, containers).
