We are looking for a MSAT Bio DS Process Lead who is detail-oriented, innovative, and solution-driven to join our Bio Manufacturing Science and Technology Team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium.
About the role
As a MSAT Bio DS Process Lead, you will drive process tech transfers from Development to internal or external Commercial Manufacturing facilities and between commercial manufacturing facilities. You will be accountable for commercial-scale process validation for mammalian biotechnological manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless documentation, compliance, and improvement initiatives to optimize performance and efficiency.
Who you will work with
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Industrial Leads, Analytical Transfer & QC Readiness teams, Development teams as well as external laboratories and CMOs. You will act as the primary contact for regulatory partners and internal teams, providing expertise and guidance throughout the tech transfer and product lifecycle management processes.
What you will do
· You will drive process Tech Transfers and support commercial-scale process validation.
· You will lead and coordinate tech transfer activities, including risk assessments, change controls, and technical reports.
· You will internalize development history and take ownership of process documentation for commercial processes.
· You will manage process documentation, CPV activities, and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges.
· You will support internal and external commercial production units for manufacturing campaigns and for troubleshooting
· You will monitor commercial manufacturing and identify areas for process improvement.
· You will liaise with development teams to optimize platform process performance.
· You will participate in Health Authority inspections and support periodic process reviews.

For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
· Master's or PhD degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
· Strong understanding of biotechnological manufacturing processes.
· Technical leadership skills
· Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
· High level of proficiency with MS Office tools.
· Ability to lead projects, manage cross-functional collaboration, and troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues.
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
