Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Product Purchaser for TVH’s global lighting product range, you play a key role in developing and strengthening our portfolio of Electrical Components used in material handling, industrial vehicles, and construction & agricultural machinery.
Product Sourcing, Portfolio Expansion and Negotiation
1. You take ownership of the portfolio within the Product & Procurement team which contains Lights and electronic accessories.
2. By conducting market research, analyzing competitor offerings, visiting trade shows, and leveraging TVH’s global supplier network, you identify opportunities to expand and optimize the assortment.
3. You proactively scout new suppliers and products, review current suppliers ranges and negotiate technical specifications, pricing, and quality conditions to enhance our market position and reduce purchase costs.
4. Preparing and developing negotiation strategies with the aim of successfully concluding negotiations and reducing the purchase cost to the maximum extent possible.
Procurement Support & Availability
5. You ensure that products within your portfolio meet the required standards for quality, compliance rules, availability, and on-time delivery.
6. When availability, price, or quality come under pressure, you react quickly, identify the root cause, and ensure smooth resolution to safeguard the customer experience.
Quality & Supplier Management
7. In collaboration with the Quality team, you monitor and evaluate supplier performance for your products.
8. Where necessary, you take constructive action toward suppliers to ensure the best possible outcome for our customers.
Data-Driven Performance Monitoring
9. You use your analytical skills to track KPIs such as product availability, cost developments, and supplier performance.
10. You proactively intervene when performance indicators show risk and maintain a structured, solution-oriented approach.
You have autonomy to make decisions within your product range and can rely on a supportive and experienced team to collaborate on effective action plans.
Your Profile
11. High level of autonomy and self-ownership with a strong interest in technical or commercial product sourcing and negotiation techniques.
12. Action oriented: comfortable analyzing data and translating insights into action.
13. International mindset, working in a global team
14. No deep technical knowledge needed; extensive internal training and global team colleagues will guide you.
15. Strong commercial acumen, negotiation- and communication skills.
16. Ability to build solid relationships and collaborate smoothly with various stakeholders.
