Senior Surety Consultant – Engineer
The Senior Surety Consultant partners with, and supports the work of, the company’s Vice President of Surety, including representing the company’s unique capabilities to current and prospective clients. Whether you possess a civil or structural engineering, engineering management or claims examination background, this position owns the client relationship for assigned business, solves all manner of problems and works diligently to achieve client satisfaction. The consultant also helps oversee the company’s technical investigations work and successful claim resolutions, partnering with management to ensure consulting on all surety claims (including performance, payment and commercial bonds) is handled expeditiously and in accordance with the law, company policy and industry standards of efficiency and integrity. With a deep knowledge of the various bond types and the surety, construction and engineering industries, the right person thrives in this role as an experienced, polished and driven individual who thoroughly understands bond business, business development, and construction claim administration principles.
Construction Manager or Engineer – Subcontractor Defaults & Construction Claims
The right individual possesses deep experience in construction business, having worked in construction management roles for major contractors on large, high‑profile projects. You exhibit sharp analytical, relational, and construction claim diagnostic skills, and can provide expert determinations of both direct and indirect costs when subcontractors default. You understand delays and their impacts, are familiar with subs and dependencies, recognize stages of work completion, spot inefficiencies, and more. This role focuses on delivering expert guidance and solutions to clients on subcontractor default and construction claim matters.
Surety Claims Examiner – Property & Construction Claims
The surety claims consultant/examiner advises clients on their claims, physically examining stalled or delayed construction projects in the assigned territory, reviewing contracts, and estimating repair costs. The right individuals are knowledgeable about construction, highly organized, efficient, pleasant, and meticulous with notes, process, and follow‑up. These consultative positions recommend internally and externally for fair and expeditious bond claim resolution, but do not authorize or render settlements independently.
Claims Consultant (Desk) – Examiner – Construction Claims
When clients face construction claims, we need a bright, organized, detail‑oriented, and numbers‑oriented individual to consult on understanding these highly technical engagements. Guardian seeks a motivated, precision‑focused professional eager for growth, who can translate current experience into a niche career specialization in construction claims consulting.
