Job Title: Data Infrastructure Coordinator
About the Role:
A key mission of our organization is to develop and maintain infrastructure for secure processing of personal data, including human genomic information, in compliance with security and privacy regulations. Enabling cross-border data sharing in a secure and privacy-aware way is a strategic priority in Europe.
The Genomic Data Infrastructure project aims to implement such an infrastructure at European level. In Belgium, we are working in close collaboration with ELIXIR Belgium and Sciensano to realize this goal.
To support the national implementation of a fit-for-purpose infrastructure for health-related data, we are seeking a Coordinator Human Data Infrastructure to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate Belgian participation in European projects such as the Genomic Data Infrastructure and Genome of Europe.
* Act as liaison between national stakeholders and European partners to ensure alignment and compliance.
* Support the implementation of secure, standards-based infrastructure for sharing and analysing genomic data.
* Communicate progress, outcomes, and risks effectively to our team and wider collaborators.
* Contribute to reporting and outreach activities.
Your Profile:

Requirements:
* Master's or PhD degree in a life sciences or biomedical field.
* Practical experience working with genomic data.
* Familiarity with FAIR data principles and GDPR/EHDS regulations.
* Proven project coordination or management experience in a research context.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
