Role: Application/Cloud Architect
Job Description:
Minimum 16 years’ experience in IT, including recent 4 years’ experience in the fields mentioned in this TA.
•Experience of large scale service support, service delivery and business continuity;
•Expertise of managing/administering/evolving/using and Application Lifecycle Management platform/toolset is required;
•Expertise of following tools is required (Bitbucket, Confluence, Crowd, Jenkins, Jira, Nexus, SonarQube);
•Excellent knowledge of cloud-based architectures and best practices in cloud computing, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for data analytics and processing.
•Good knowledge of microservices and cloud architecture, including containerized applications, API-driven development, and service orchestration.
•Good knowledge of applications design and enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with DG TAXUD’s digital transformation strategy and cloud migration objectives.
•Good knowledge of business process analysis, with the ability to analyse, document, and optimize technical workflows supporting customs, taxation, and CBAM needs.4
•Knowledge of interoperability technologies, including web services, message-oriented middleware, event-driven architecture, and API-based data integration to facilitate seamless data exchange between platforms.
•Experience in cloud migration strategies, including the review and transformation of legacy systems to cloud-native solutions, leveraging cloud components from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
•Experience in DevSecOps methodologies, ensuring secure, automated, and high-quality cloud deployments through CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
•Ability to design and implement cloud-based analytics environments, ensuring project transformation initiatives;
•Experience in technical documentation and architecture blueprints, providing clear, structured documentation for cloud implementations, integrations, and security models.
•Capability to review and optimize existing cloud architectures, ensuring alignment with EU regulations, scalability requirements, and emerging cloud technologies.
•The consultant delivering the service should have specialised experience in Infrastructure as a Code (IaC), containerisation and orchestration, as well as the DevSecOps pipeline and cloud
