Category Procurement Specialist
This role involves purchasing all materials, equipment, and services required by the organization. The Category Buyer will identify and develop reliable supply sources, negotiate prices, and ensure timely deliveries within budget constraints.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an industrial and international context. A master's degree in procurement, purchasing, technical engineering, or sales is also essential. Additional skills include proficiency in SAP, MS Office, project management certification (PRINCE2, CPM), and negotiation techniques.
This position requires strong leadership skills, ability to work in a team environment, and effective communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers. As a key member of the procurement team, you will contribute to achieving business objectives through strategic sourcing initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
• Support project teams in drafting tender packages, selecting vendors, and ensuring compliance with specifications
• Negotiate prices and assess remaining negotiation margin to secure optimal costs
• Establish frame agreements with strategic suppliers in key countries
• Supervise purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for delivery times and quality
• Close projects by highlighting gains generated and providing feedback for continuous improvement
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience as a Category Buyer in an industrial and international context
• Master's degree in procurement, purchasing, technical engineering, or sales
• Project management certification (PRINCE2, CPM)
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and negotiation techniques
