About the Role
Elia Group is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to play a key role in evolving its Consumer Centricity platform. You will guide the transformation of a strategic platform and its ecosystem of applications built on it toward the Elia Group Digital Platform while ensuring alignment with architectural and security standards.
The platform consists of three core components:
* A web platform & portals interfacing with external stakeholders
* An API layer enabling system-to-system integration
* An internal portal supporting product owners and operators to manage their products on the web platform and API layer
* An integration layer that connects data owners, meter points and energy asset owners
As a Solution Architect, you will:
* Steer the activity of the architecture for the Consumer Centricity Platform
* Provide architectural guidance to product management
* Work in tandem with the product teams to propose the best solutions in line with Elia's architectural principles
* Lead and support the transition from Microsoft Azure to the Elia Group Digital Platform, our own home-grown Kubernetes based cloud native platform.
* Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture, technology, and security standards
* Contribute to defining scalable, future-proof solutions that support business growth
Requirements:
Experience & Expertise
* Minimum 6 years of experience in a Solution Architect role
* Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure PaaS
* Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes
* Proven experience with API management platforms (Kong is a strong asset)
* Proven experience of migrating an application to a new platform with technology change
* Deep knowledge of integration architectures and Enterprise Integration Patterns
* Experience in Identity & Access Management is a plus
* Knowledge of the following technologies is an asset:
* Mongo DB
* Kubernetes
* Kafka
* Harbor
* Rabbit MQ
Architecture & Methodologies
* Experience with IT architecture frameworks and standards (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate, ATAM)
* Familiarity with architecture modeling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect is a plus)
* Good understanding of:
* Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
* Microservices architectures
* Event-driven systems

* Onsite presence: By default, a physical presence on site is required for 2 days per week.
