Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for a PSol Chemistry Operations Manager.
As a PSol Chemistry Operations Manager at Vulcain Engineering Belgium, you will work on projects in the biotech or pharmaceutical industries, from process design to commissioning, and be involved in all phases of a project according to your interests.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
* Oversee daily operations and ensure continuity of chemistry research buildings, including incident and risk management
* Coordinate building activities, zoning, ticket follow-up, and operational safety across laboratories and common areas
* Act as deputy to the Lab Operations Manager, supporting operational and safety-related decision-making
* Manage permit-to-work processes and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with HSE and site safety procedures
* Ensure chemical safety and regulatory compliance, including ATEX, PED, and hazardous chemical risk prevention
* Serve as interface between laboratory users and technical teams for infrastructure projects and facility adaptations
* Coordinate equipment lifecycle activities, safety action follow-up, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, housekeeping, utilities monitoring)
ABOUT YOU:
* Scientific or Engineering degree (Chemistry preferred)
* 6 to 8 years of experience in industrial projects
* Fluency in French is mandatory
* Proven experience in lab operations / technical environment
* Experience in chemical laboratory environment strongly preferred
