Job Description:
The EU market related activities include, among others:
1. Business development and project acquisition with all EU Institutions
2. Coordination of KPMG's teams working on EU projects
3. Support in management and delivery of EU projects under implementation
4. Manage EU pipeline of opportunities for the KPMG Network, research and communication of key EU initiatives, and monitoring of regulatory issues
KPMG practice in Italy is currently looking for an EU specialized consultant as a Senior Manager/Manager to join the fast-growing team in Brussels - in the Consulting/Digital sector
He/she will be integrated within the EU office team and will report to the KPMG Lead Partner managing EU contracts with the European Commission.
He/she will:
1. Play a lead role in Business Development on Digital related opportunities in digital transformation, business transformation, and new technologies within the EU context.
2. Monitor EU digital developments and anticipate related needs at the European Commission and Member States level.
3. Map financing patterns of EU programmes in relevant sectors.
4. Monitor the impact of new digital technologies in the EU and identify opportunities for consultancy services.
5. Monitor major developments and policy trends on EU digital policies.
6. Develop market alliances and respond to key calls for tenders.
7. Assist in drafting technical and financial parts of EU bids.
8. Manage all activities related to EU consultancy assignments, including liaising with EU clients and managing expectations.
9. Interact with stakeholders on EU opportunities, including partners and experts.
10. Supervise a team, providing coaching in an international environment.
Reporting lines:
* Overall performance: KPMG Lead Partner
* Daily operations: KPMG EU office Lead Partner
Expected qualifications:
* University degree in ICT, Economics, Engineering, or related fields; additional EU studies qualifications are a plus.
* 5-8 years' experience as a Project Manager/EU Business Developer, preferably on EU projects.
* Familiarity with EU institutions from work experience.
* Experience with EU digital policies such as AI, Blockchain, Data analytics, Data management.
* Ability to manage a team of 10-20 people.
* Comfortable in multicultural, multinational environments.
* Positive, confident, with good interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and establish procedures.
* High computer literacy, proficient in MS Office, Excel, Gantt charts.
* Excellent command of English and Italian; knowledge of French and other EU languages is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills and adaptability to a fast-changing environment.
