Job Description:
AmCham EU is seeking a motivated self-starter for a 7 months maternity cover to be responsible for the strategy, planning & organisation of the events and managing the overall day-to-day events activity of AmCham EU. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Outreach, the position requires a team player with exceptional organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure.
Main Tasks:
* Responsible for event organisation of all major (hybrid/online/in person) conferences, seminars & events including AmCham EU's Gala;
* Create & implement overall AmCham EU events strategy and budget;
* Manage, coordinate efforts, and plan events; ensure events meet strategic & tactical needs of the organisation;
* Benchmarks AEU events with other stakeholders/competitors;
* Build & maintain relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and members
* Develop overall communication and marketing plan and responsible for events mailings (internally and externally);
* Oversee sponsorship relationships, including outreach, communication, follow-up, and negotiation with current and potential sponsors;
* Able to create and deliver presentations, including event sales and sponsorship presentations;
* Manage the marketing materials for the organisation, and be responsible for Giving back projects;
* Work closely with the Senior Events and Marketing Officer
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of events, including Content, Policy, and Operations.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience required:
* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills;
* Proactive and ability to work on and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously;
* Schedule flexibility in supporting events (e.g. conference, breakfasts, evening receptions);
* Project management, problem-solving skills and stress resilient;
* Strong communication, teamwork and negotiation skills;
* Excellent IT skills / Knowledge of CRM
Languages: Fluent English. French and/or Dutch is a plus
Start date: Monday, 9 March 2026 (preferably). This is a 7 months contract
