Actuarial Specialist - Health and Risk Management
We are seeking a skilled actuary to play a pivotal role in our health and workers accident insurance sector. As an Actuarial Specialist, you will be responsible for safeguarding financial stability and driving profitable growth.
This key position within the Corporate Actuarial Non-Life department focuses on health and workers accident lines of business, leveraging your knowledge of the Belgian market. Your expertise will shape the future of insurance, performing essential actuarial tasks such as calculating best estimates and risk capital, while preparing comprehensive reports that guide informed decision-making.
In this dynamic environment, you will collaborate closely with diverse teams and act as a trusted business partner across various departments, bringing fresh perspectives and challenging the status quo.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct analyses to support closing and planning activities
* Develop and maintain models for health insurance products
* Prepare and present actuarial reports to stakeholders
* Support the implementation of risk management strategies
* Participate in projects and initiatives across departments
* Analyze complex data sets to inform decision-making
* Develop solutions like dashboards for effective business partnering
* Contribute to new projects, including M&A and process improvements
Requirements:
We are looking for a proactive and pragmatic actuary with a Master's degree in Actuarial Science or a relevant quantitative field. You should have experience with health insurance products and a strong understanding of IFRS17 and Solvency II. Experience in actuarial reporting, data engineering, and model development is essential. You must be fluent in English, with proficiency in Dutch or French as a plus. Strong communication skills and proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SAS, C++) are crucial. Experience with Belgian products like worker accident and risk capital modeling is highly valued.
