Your Mission
As a Solution architect FinOps, your role will be critical in managing and optimizing the financial operations of our IT and cloud services. You will be responsible for:
1. Implementing FinOps solutions using well-architected frameworks.
2. Developing and implementing FinOps strategies and frameworks to optimize cloud spending and enhance financial accountability.
3. Engaging with key stakeholders, including directors and solution leads, to discuss optimization strategies.
4. Working closely with engineering, product, finance, and operations teams to align cloud cost management practices with business objectives.
5. Analyzing cloud usage and spending, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing optimization initiatives across cloud services.
6. Collaborating with service delivery managers and technical teams to ensure cost-effective cloud solutions.
7. Conducting deep dives to identify and execute cost-saving measures.
8. Managing cloud billing and budgeting processes, tracking spending, and forecasting future cloud costs.
9. Creating detailed financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders to provide insights into cloud spending and savings.
10. Establishing and enforcing cloud financial management policies and governance to ensure compliance and cost-efficiency.
11. Evaluating and implementing FinOps tools and automation solutions to streamline cloud cost management processes.
12. Educating and training teams on cloud financial management best practices, promoting a culture of cost-consciousness and financial responsibility.
13. Participating in relationships with cloud service providers and negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effective use of services.
Your Profile
We do not only deliver letters and parcels, but also opportunities. This job is open to all with diverse backgrounds and talents, possessing the following skills:
1. FinOps Certified Practitioner at least.
2. AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect.
3. Proficiency in technical aspects related to IT and financial operations in the cloud.
4. Experience in cloud solutions architecture, FinOps, AWS and/or Azure, and project management.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct presentations and training.
6. Open-mindedness and a collaborative approach, capable of engaging with various stakeholders.
7. Leadership qualities to gain trust and respect from the team and other departments.
8. Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex cloud financial data and make strategic recommendations.
9. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
