About the Role – Technician / Mechanic
As a Technician / Mechanic at Poppy, your focus is on the electronic and technological aspects of our fleet. You will be the go-to person for diagnosing complex issues, repairing electronic systems, and addressing vandalism-related damages. Your primary focus is advanced diagnostics and electronic repairs. In addition, you are expected to support in- and outfleeting activities when needed. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Vilvoorde workshop, within a hands-on and growing team.
Your Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Repairs
* Diagnose and repair electronic and technological issues in vehicles (sensors, modules, wiring, displays, etc.)
* Address damages caused by vandalism to electronic components
* Use and interpret data from diagnostic tools to identify issues
* Actively identify root causes of recurring issues and propose structural improvements
Fleet Support
* Assist in in- and outfleeting of vehicles when electronic repairs are completed
* Prepare vehicles for deployment, including small technical interventions
* Collaborate closely with technical and operations colleagues to keep fleet downtime low

Job requirements
Your Profile
* Strong technical background as an automotive technician or mechanic
* Excellent knowledge of electronics and vehicle diagnostics
* Experience with diagnostic tools is a must
* Problem-solving mindset and hands-on approach
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse fleet (multiple brands and models)
* Interest in connected vehicles, telematics or fleet technology is a strong plus
* Comfortable with complex and non-standard issues
* Fluent in French (required), good English (preferable), Dutch is a plus
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full-time presence at the Vilvoorde workshop is required
* Valid drivers license B
