We are looking for a Financial Controller to join the finance team of our client in the media and communications sector.
Based in the area of Brussels, you will play a key role in supporting financial performance, ensuring reporting accuracy, and partnering closely with creative and operational teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare and analyze monthly management reports, budgets, and forecasts, providing clear insights to operational teams.
* Monitor and explain variances in margins, costs, and revenues, ensuring consistency with group guidelines.
* Support month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
* Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data across multiple business units.
* Act as a business partner to operational managers, bringing financial perspective to decision-making.
* Work closely with the CFO on reporting, strategic planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
* Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and the roll-out of new reporting tools.
* Collaborate with Group Finance teams to ensure smooth communication and compliance with global standards.
Your Profile:
* Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
* 3 to 6 years of experience in controlling, audit, or financial analysis (preferably in an international environment).
* Strong accounting background and solid understanding of the P&L and balance sheet.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Hands-on, proactive mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Comfortable working in a creative, fast-moving, and multicultural setting.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power BI knowledge is an asset).
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
* Languages: Fluent in English, with a very good command of Dutch and French (trilingual profiles strongly preferred).
