Fujitsu is looking for a Senior Python Backend Engineer to design, build, and secure scalable server-side systems that support mission-critical web applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect and develop server-side components using Python best practices
* Design and maintain RESTful APIs for front-end and system integrations
* Design, optimize, and secure database schemas and queries
* Implement scalable, cloud-ready architectures using containers and orchestration
* Improve application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks
* Apply secure coding standards, authentication, authorization, and encryption
* Conduct code reviews and vulnerability assessments
* Collaborate within a DevSecOps environment using CI/CD pipelines
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong expertise in Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
* Solid experience with RESTful API design
* Strong database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
* Excellent knowledge of ORM, schema design, and query optimization
* Hands-on experience with Docker / Podman and Kubernetes
* Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, xphnsxz GitHub Actions)
* Knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability scanning tools (OWASP)
* Experience with Linux and virtual machine management
* Familiarity with Git / SVN and configuration tools such as Ansible
* Experience using AI-powered code assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q) is a plus
