In this role you lead and coach the General Ledger Accounting Team within the Group Accounting Center, ensuring a strong and collaborative accounting environment. As a hands-on accounting manager, you support your team with technical expertise while safeguarding accurate financial reporting and continuously improving accounting processes across multiple international entities.
1. We count on you to lead, coach and further develop the General Ledger team of 9 people within the Global Accounting Center.
2. As a hands-on manager, you support your team in complex accounting topics and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closings.
3. You take ownership of the Record-to-Report process and safeguard compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements as defined by Group Finance.
4. Together with Group Finance and local finance teams, you ensure clear and consistent reporting and strong collaboration across the different entities.
5. You continuously look for opportunities to improve and standardize accounting processes and drive automation initiatives within the accounting environment.
6. You report to the Group Director Shared Services.
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:
7. A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
8. You have technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and local GAAP.
9. Experience with ERP systems is required (SAP is a strong plus), combined with an excellent knowledge of Excel.
10. Ideally you already have some experience in coaching or leading a small team.
11. You are KPI-driven, structured and able to navigate in an international corporate environment.
12. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you work closely with various stakeholders across Finance.
13. Fluency in Dutch and English is required; French is a plus.
