Your role as our Infrastructure Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, operation, and evolution of our virtualized managed infrastructure which operates typical telecom workload. This role plays a key part in maintaining the reliability, scalability, and security of a complex multi-site environment with more than 5,000 active virtual machines across IPv4 and IPv6 networks. It covers both virtual and physical compute, storage, and network assets.
You will maintain and modernize our on-premises infrastructure while supporting a strategic migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or OpenShift Server Virtualization. You will also take end-to-end ownership of the Scality storage platform, ensuring its availability, performance, and data durability through capacity planning, lifecycle management, monitoring, and advanced troubleshooting.
You will also ensure secure access, data accuracy, and platform resilience. Next, you will coordinate upgrades and expansions and collaborate with application, storage, and security teams to align with enterprise standards and future hybrid or cloud strategies. The role includes leading the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of infrastructure across multiple data centers and regional sites. Oversee core services including DNS, DHCP, NTP, syslog, monitoring (CheckMK, Dynatrace), and server provisioning (PXE, kickstart, Ansible).
* Manage and optimize storage platforms (IBM, Scality), backup systems (IBM Spectrum Protect), and virtualization environments (VMware ESXi).
* Maintain and evolve the admin portal, REST APIs, and associated CLI and User Interface tools.
* Ensure compliance with audit, security, and monitoring standards, including audit logging, Kerberos authentication, and firewall configurations.

* Maintain and extend Ansible-based deployment pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices across CVS and Git repositories.
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to reliability engineers and cross-functional teams.
Your profile as our Infrastructure Engineer
* 8+ years experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration in enterprise environments or similar.
* Deep expertise in Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky), Ansible, VMware, and enterprise storage systems.
* Strong knowledge of networking (IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols like RIP/BGP, VLANs, VRFs).
* Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CheckMK, Dynatrace, SNMP, syslog).
* Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), including hybrid connectivity and landing zones.
* Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and configuration management.
* Understanding of security best practices, Kerberos authentication, and audit logging.
