Lead data migration activities for complex SAP implementations, ensuring data integrity and quality throughout the migration lifecycle. You will design migration strategies, develop ABAP programs for data transformation, and establish robust data quality controls across SAP landscapes.
We are looking for an experienced SAP technical consultant who combines deep ABAP development skills with data migration expertise. You will work on large-scale data migrations, building the technical foundation for successful SAP implementations.
* You plan and execute end-to-end data migration activities, from legacy system analysis through go-live reconciliation.
* You analyze legacy data structures and define data scope, objects, and transformation rules.
* You develop ABAP programs for data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and mass data loading.
* You design and implement data quality frameworks, including rules, metrics, controls, and monitoring dashboards.
* You perform data cleansing, enrichment, and validation to ensure high-quality data in target SAP systems.
* You conduct data reconciliation between legacy and target SAP systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
* You build error-handling and logging mechanisms for migration programs to support troubleshooting and audit trails.
* You create technical documentation, including data mapping specifications and transformation logic.
* You identify and resolve data issues: inconsistencies, duplicates, master data problems, and quality gaps.
* You collaborate with business data owners to improve data standards, governance, and ownership models.
* You support cutover activities, working under tight timelines and migration pressure.
What are we looking for?
* You have
5-10 years of SAP experience, including minimum 3 years focused on data migration
and data quality management.
* You have
strong ABAP and ABAP OO development
skills for data manipulation, mass processing, and migration programs.
* You have solid knowledge of S
AP master and transactional data objects: Business Partner, Finance (GL, AR, AP, Assets), Material Master.
* You have hands-on experience with ETL/migration tools (e.g.,
LSMW, SAP Data Services
, or similar) for high-volume data loading.
* You have proven experience in data reconciliation and audit support across complex SAP landscapes.
* You master data mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation reporting.
* You have experience working in large-scale or complex SAP implementations.
* You are fluent in
English
and proficient in French, conversation Dutch is a nice to have little bonus
Nice-to-Have
* Expert knowledge of FS-PM data model (Policy Management tables, journal structure, time model)
* Experience using FS-PM-specific migration BAPIs/APIs
* Experience with msg.AIM or other specialized migration frameworks
* Deep understanding of migration strategies (Big Bang vs. Phased approaches)
* Experience in insurance or financial services sector
* Knowledge of data governance frameworks and master data management (MDM)
