As part of the development of offshore infrastructure supporting the European energy transition, a major project is underway to construct a high‑voltage grid at sea. This includes the creation of an artificial energy island, offshore substations, and several high‑voltage export cable systems.
To strengthen the team responsible for the AC substations (66 kV & 220 kV), we are looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to contribute to the detailed design phase, the fabrication of the modules, and the review of technical documentation in preparation for future assembly and integration activities.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and validating all low‑voltage electrical systems integrated into the offshore substations. These include LV switchboards, AC & DC UPS systems, diesel generators, earthing & bonding systems, lightning protection, lighting systems, and cable management infrastructure.
Main responsibilities:
* Review, comment on, and validate technical documentation related to low‑voltage electrical systems.
* Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for associated equipment.
* Provide engineering support to construction, integration, and commissioning teams.
* Work closely with mechanical, instrumentation, SCADA, HSE, quality, contracting, and PMO specialists.
* Ensure proper interface management and contribute to the resolution of electrical design issues.
ABOUT YOU:
* Minimum 6 years of experience on EPC projects.
* Experience in the offshore sector is considered a strong asset.
* Engineering degree in Electromechanics or Electrical Engineering.
* Strong command of MS Office tools.
* Fluent in English and Dutch
