We are currently looking for a Chief Financial Officer for our HQ in Belgium.Your key responsibilities and tasksYour role spans from the details of the balance sheet to high-level strategy: 1. Strategic financial reporting & insightsDeliver accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting packages to the CEO and Board of DirectorsTranslate complex data into actionable insights that drive business performanceDevelop KPIs and dashboards to monitor the company’s current financial status in real-time2. Transaction readiness & corporate strategyLead the preparation for future strategic eventsStructure and manage the financial data, ensuring the company’s financials are always presentableAct as a key negotiator and advisor during investment rounds or transaction discussions3. Public funding & grant managementProactively identify relevant local and international grantsLead the structuring of grant applications to maximize success ratesEfficiently organize the accountability and auditing processes for public funds to ensure 100% compliance4. Core financial leadershipOversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementOptimize the company’s capital structure and manage banking/investor relationshipsEnsure rigorous internal controls and compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirementsOur wishlistWe are looking for an experienced financial profile who brings the following to the table: You hold a master’s degree in financial management or equivalent degree with 10 years in a relevant positionYou have a proven track record as a CFO or VP of Finance, ideally within a high-growth scale-up environmentYou have been through a transaction before; a successful sale, or asignificant funding roundYou have experience with public fundingTiming is as critical as accuracy to you; you recognize that delayed insights are missed opportunities.
