Position Overview:
As a Legal Advisor, you will join a team of four legal professionals and support the Head of Legal of client Bank.
You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting operational teams with legal matters, and managing issues related to contracts, taxation, and customer complaints
What you'll do:
* Monitoring regulatory developments relevant to the banking sector, particularly tax-related regulations.
* Ensuring the correct interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements within the bank.
* Providing legal support and advice to the bank's operational departments.
* Conducting legal reviews of contracts with external partners.
* Acting as the reference person for tax-related legal matters within the bank.
* Managing customer complaints addressed to the Ombudsman.
What you bring:
* Master's degree in law.
* Minimum 2 years of professional experience in banking law.
* Training or expertise in taxation is highly desirable.
* Good understanding of the banking sector and financial markets.
* French or Dutch speaker, with good knowledge of French.
* Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
* Rigorous, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* A team-oriented mindset, close to operations, with the ability to proactively propose practical solutions adapted to the banking environment.
