The Position

What is the job about?

We are seeking a talented Strategic Business Development Lead to drive significant revenue growth for Roche Diagnostics Belgium (RDB). You'll achieve this by accelerating the adoption of existing products and strategically expanding our market through innovative commercial and marketing initiatives. Your core focus will be on conceptualizing, developing, deploying, and optimizing novel business models and go-to-market channels.

In this role, you will report to the Director Marketing & Medical Excellence. You will leverage the collective resources and expertise of the Marketing, Government, Access & Patient Affairs, and Medical Excellence teams to identify and capitalize on new opportunities within RDB's addressable market, ultimately enhancing our competitive edge and market presence.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Accelerate Market Penetration: Drive rapid adoption of existing products, overcoming barriers to maximize commercial potential
* Innovate Market Expansion: Develop and deploy novel business models and channels to access new segments and generate incremental revenue
* Lead Strategic Business & Marketing: Design and execute innovative strategies that enhance our market approach and unlock growth
* Orchestrate Cross-Functional Teams: Influence and collaborate with marketing, access, medical, and other RDB functions to leverage expertise for strategic initiatives
* Identify & Analyze Opportunities: Proactively pinpoint emerging opportunities and disruptions in the IVD landscape through in-depth market analysis and competitive intelligence, focusing on high-growth areas
* Optimize Performance: Establish KPIs to continuously monitor and optimize strategies' effectiveness and ROI for maximum impact

You'll thrive in this role if you can:

* Translate future market dynamics into actionable growth strategies and innovative business models
* Identify, evaluate, and develop new commercial opportunities, go-to-market strategies, and partnerships
* Generate novel ideas, challenge paradigms, and drive disruptive solutions to market needs
* Lead strategic initiatives by influencing and gaining buy-in from cross-functional and senior stakeholders
* Navigate change management effectively, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering adaptability
* Utilize data and insights to solve complex market challenges creatively
* Possess a deep understanding of IVD industry market dynamics, customer journeys, and revenue generation
* Articulate complex strategic visions and business cases clearly and persuasively

This is the expertise and experience you bring:

* 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic marketing, business development, or commercial innovation within diagnostics, healthcare, or a related tech industry. Proven success in accelerating market adoption and developing novel business models
* Highly strategic, visionary, and entrepreneurial, translating insights into significant business impact
* Deep expertise in strategic marketing principles, market analysis, competitive strategy, and new business model development
* Strong understanding of the IVD landscape, healthcare ecosystem, and digital health trends
* Exceptional skills in strategic planning, business case development, execution, influencing, negotiation, and collaboration across integrated teams
* Strong analytical capabilities for data-informed decisions, coupled with creative problem-solving and an innate drive for innovation
